Recently I just finished a book called A Heart Exposed by Steven James. This is a book of prayers. I'm going to tell you what the back of the book says and then my thoughts on it, hopefully you guys check this book out and like it as much as I did ^^
Back of book: What id you talked to God like you talk to your friends? In A Heart Exposed, Steven James presents an origainal collection of image-rich prayers that reflect a heart laid bare before God and invites you to speak to God with nothing to hide. If you want to be completely real with God, these prayers will pave the way for a life of honest, soulful communucation with the God who is always waiting, always available, always listening.
"Steven James exposes his heart in these beautiful, raw, and tender prayers. Prepare to weep, to worship, and to communicate with God in a fresh new was as you read."-Michelle Cox (auther, Simple Little Words and Mothers Who Made a Difference)
"With raw emotion and melodic prose, Steven James paints a compelling portrait of sin and grace, desire and sacrifice, conviction, confession, and love."-Vonda Skelton (speaker and auther, Seeing Through the Lies)
"A truly unique and creative offering. Honest, worshipful, grand, and real, A Heart Exposed has become a favorite. I've never read anything quite like it."-Rick Altizer (singer, songwriter, and producer in Nashville,Tennessee)
What I Have to say about this Book: Each page is another "prayer" with the most beautiful, uplifting, honest, crazy words I've ever heard. When I picked up this book I didn't think I'd ever relate to it. My grandmother sent it to me as a gift and I definitely didn't think it would have anything to do with me. It was so ironic and crazy when I would pick this book up and be like "oh my gosh this is so me." (lol) Every day I read so many pages and it never bored me or became more of a chore then a book I was always interested and excited to see what God would show me through these pages. I seriously love this book and I really hope someone here sees this review, picks the book up, gets the pdf whatever, and reads it, it defiently a book in my top tens. <3.
I hope you guys enjoyed my first book review here and I hope someone definitely checks this book out >.^ Love you guys Love ~Rose <3.
