Sometimes People Hurt Us.

Sometimes people will hurt us. Mentally of course, physically yes unfortunately. When a person is hurt mentally, they are words. Over time those words can usually be pushed off or sheilded away, but when a person is hurt physically there are cuts, scars, and bruises that remind them every single day of that incedent for a very good while, depending on how bad the injury.

A person is not made of stone or brick or steel, and that seems to be what everyone forgets. I always compare people to church window glass. If it pushed or shoved or dropped, it will shatter, but if it is cared for with the correct tools and paid attention to, it is so beautiful and happy and amazing.

People can only take so much beat down before they are completely broken. They can only be stepped on so many times before they become unfixable. Once upon a time I was very close to being unfixable. As many of you know I've had some problems in the past with depression. Today I am a much happier person though.

One day a superhero came down and he saved me. He picked me up in his arms and he told me he loved me. I fell so in love with that man, with that hero. <3. I still am to this very day. It's so funny because out of all of the people in this world he gets me. My girly side, my upset side, my lonely side, he notices it all.

People hurt us. They make us cry and break, but there has to be a point in our lives that we stand up and we say, screw this, they can't push me around. I tell you guys so many times we have to love ourself to get anywhere in life. To truly be happy we have to except the flaws we hold and love us as we are.

No longer can we let people hurt us in these horrible ways. Abuse, neglect, unloved, punishment, unhappiness, it all happens in this world and no one is stopping it. I believe we can stop it. But as my favorite quote says, "A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." So please share this post, encourage others to believe and love not only themselves but the people they have in their lives.

There are so many beautiful people. And so many amazing people. So many talented and funny people and so many smart and intelligent people. We are the generations that will take over. We are going to have the spotlight so very soon, and possibly many of us already do. So here's what we have to do. We have to prove we can turn this around. Society is falling and sex is in the minds of 10 year olds and drugs are in the mouths of 13 year old.

Maybe you think we can't stop the bad things like rape and drugs and sex. But again, it's one step at a time. Every person who reads this, sees this, is another person who gets how important it is. Every person that we reach out to and help, protect, or encourage is another person that we just might be able to pull out of things like depression, suicide, rape, drinking, drugs, etc.

Wouldn't you like to be someones hero?
